Handi is a Lagos marketplace where vetted providers compete for the job, and the customer sees options, compares, and stays protected through payment. We were engaged to take it from product-ready to market, and to build the engine that keeps it moving after launch.
The product we took to market. Handi, on iOS and Android.
In Lagos, people already have ways of finding a plumber, a cleaner, an electrician, a makeup artist. Referrals. WhatsApp groups. Word of mouth. The opportunity was never to invent the behaviour. It was to build a more structured, more trusted experience around it. Handi needed to enter that market with a clear position, a way to acquire both sides of the marketplace, and the systems to run growth once we handed it over.
We ran the engagement across three months. Month one was intelligence and strategy. Month two was build and pre-launch. Month three was launch and the transition into an internal team. Six workstreams carried it.
Concentration over coverage
The strategy refused the obvious move. Do not try to cover Lagos at launch. Win estates one at a time. Build real density inside a defined geography, then expand from strength. It also fixed what Handi should measure. Not raw installs or sign-ups, but completed, high-quality transactions: time to first quote, first job completion, the thirty-day repeat rate, active providers per estate. That one distinction shapes everything downstream in how growth gets defined.
“Stop chasing. Start choosing.”
Every platform in this space competes on finding. Find a handyman. Find a pro. We moved Handi off that ground entirely. Handi competes on choosing, and on staying protected while you do it. The positioning was anchored in seeing options and being covered through the transaction, not in the search. Then we translated it into a creator brief with a campaign line built to travel: “Stop Chasing. Start Choosing.”

Credibility at the moment of entry.
We handled the strategy and execution: identifying the platforms, developing the story angles, writing the articles, and timing publication to the launch. Two placements ran during the engagement.

Partner content that framed the problem straight: finding a reliable pro in Lagos has always run on WhatsApp and word of mouth. Handi changes that.

Systems & Team
We did not leave a document. We left a working function.
The proposal called for structures. What Handi needed was the thing running. So we built the performance infrastructure, the content engine, and the team that operates both, then handed over the keys.
KPI dashboard and tracker, built in Notion around the metrics that matter. The content team workflow. One pipeline, no restarts.
The takeaway
Strategy documents don't launch products. Executional systems do.
Handi enters the market with a defined position, an acquisition engine for both sides, a full launch system, performance infrastructure that tracks what matters, and an internal marketing team running the function on its own.
If you are building something worth launching, we will build the way in, and the machine that keeps it moving.
